Forde George are able to offer specialist Fire Safety Risk Assessments to lift the Statutory burden from all commercial Property Clients.
Commercial property has in recent years been under barrage from new legislation, whether it be the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002, The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 Part 3 and, more recently, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, all of which are an integral consideration in the Forde George Commercial Building Condition Surveys.
The benignly named “Regulatory Reform Order” which was implemented in 2006 looks to be a true wolf in sheep’s clothing and is likely to impact significantly upon the vast majority of commercial premises from offices to hotels, imposing a statutory obligation on owners, managers and tenants to assess risks and the potential need to upgrade fabric and fire precautions, neglect of which could, at worst, result in a criminal negligence issue.
To enhance their assessment capability, Forde George have elected to undergo specialist training and are able to offer the statutory risk assessment as part of either a full survey commission or a stand alone service. Please e-mail or call for further information.
